I just thought that the festival thing would perfectly fit in the tour, and would ensure the biggest possible crowd. However a standalone concert would be great too, of course. Maybe it would be even a lot nicer than some festival gig because higher percentage of people would be foo-educated on the special one.

I'd also like to visit a Foo's show in some foreign country if they're not comming here, but I can hardly imagine paying more than 40 euro for the travel. That means Prague is border line for me, from Ostrava. I cannot afford Germany and Austria, I don't see any Polish date and Slovakia is way less probable than CZE.

Conclusion? The only chance for me to see Foo Fighters live is that they will play in the Czech Republic or in Poland somewhere near the borders. I don't care if it's Rock for People, another festival or standalone concert. I don't care if it's open-air, arena, garage or underwater gig.
And one special wish: What about fitting the coming heavy album to industrial zone in Ostrava? That would be epic.

I´m not sure if this is worth because a few lines on the foo figthers message board probably won´t help to bring the greatest band to the Czech Republic.. I only hope that someone from the ff team who read the message board regurarly (in case there´s somebody who does it) will notice us and remember that for the future. Keep this thread (and your activity here) alive

OK, so my last info on this is, that they promised to play Rock For People next year.

FF in Prague would be awesome! I was in there a few month ago and that city is probably one of the best capitals in Europe! I'm sure a lot of Hungarian fans will go there to see FF.

Good thread, same goes for Hungary. We've been waiting for them since 1997.

There was a chance that they'll come back to Sziget Festival this year, but I was told it won't happen.

seems like they're definitely interested in coming here, but for bands of such "size" it's never a question of will, but everything has to be under good circumstances....

There was a plot that FFs will play in Warsaw Festival this year...and now after all tourdates being announced - I wan't to kill that fckn festival fckn gossip-liar director mthrfckr!

FFs played once in Poland in '96 so either in CZ or PL - they must play in our countries next yr! I'm writing now 'dear santa' letter! haha

OK, Rock for People 2012? That would be BLAST. I'm waiting for that so looooong. We all are. I think it could happen, no hard obstacles, only those soft and easilly movable ones. And if something goes wrong with a date collision or so, I'll be the first one to "publicly" suggest moving the festival to match with requirements. Having a Foo Fighters concert in the Czech republic has the highest cultural priority.

and have you guys heard about the winner of the cz/sk music competition who is gonna meet Foos as a prize? He´s such a lucky man!!! I´m probably going to start singing too

So now Argentina managed to get the first Foo Fighters' show ever. Let's hope that Czech republic (Is quarter of Argentina's population enough? Does it even matter?) could get Foo too.
