That's what I've tried to book off, just in case. Although someone mentioned before that Thursady would make sense too. Dingwalls was 2 days before Live Earth, and would they really want to play 3 shows in 3 days?

It's about a good time to mention a tour anyway I think. Gives time for organisation. Plus it means I can buy the tickets and plan the journeys round the country before I change jobs, and I won't have internet access to buy any tickets.

I've got my 80 quids refund from the now cancelled Fflam festival, so that's going straight on Foos tickets.

There's going to be a tour at some point this year, and I think this may actually be a tour announcement. If they're not running competitions any more (I didn't know they weren't), I don't think they'd announce a secret show again. A tour would be logical, with tickets to go on sale friday.

Sounds like a very nice boss... just be aware that for some recent shows, the card holder has had to pick up the tickets at the box office. If your boss doesn't mind you taking the card (and is the same gender), not a problem!! Otherwise, have a plan b just in case ;)

I was just thinking back to last month, Radio 1 held a competition to win White Stripes tickets for an exclusive Radio 1 gig. It was held on the wednesday, with the gig on thursday, which was broadcast live. There were something like 100 pairs of tickets given away after you answered a question on their website. I didn't win :(

White Stripes did a few secret gigs in Canada, where they just posted the location on the message boards about 20 minutes before they turned up there. That's a bit extreme, but there was no chance of a leak.
