What's all this about mini-golfing? I haven't got time to read through the last 10 pages, someone update me pretty please! :D
Jane, at last a southerner is online. Answer my London queries from the last few pages please:
1. How big is the Royal Albert Hall?
2. How big is the gallery in Maison Barteux, and what's it like?
3. Buy my Serj ticket off me :)
4. Buy my Wembley tickets off me :)

As for you:
1. Pretty big, no idea of exact capacity and I think it's always all seated. I've got some photos I could show you!? Wicked venue, you can hear a pin drop in there. Who's playing?
2. No idea! Sorry.
3. Er... no? I thought he sucked on the Foo tour. Unless some other kids from here are going then I'd be tempted for sheer comedy value.
4. How many you got? I think this is do-able.

Thinking about it, Maison Bertaux is pretty small so I'd imagine the space upstairs is too. It's quite a cool little cafe. Here's some random's flickr pics (scroll to the bottom):

Subject: The Italian Lover
A virile, middle aged Italian lothario named Guido was relaxing at his favourite bar in Rome, when he managed to attract a spectacular young blonde woman.
Things progressed to the point where he led her back to his apartment and, after some small talk, they retired to his bedroom where he proceeded to rattle her senseless.
After a pleasant interlude, he asked with a smile, 'So, you finish?' She paused for a second, frowned, and replied, 'No.' Surprised, Guido reached for her and the rattling resumed. This time she thrashed about wildly and there were screams of passion. The sex finally ended and, again, Guido smiled and asked, 'You finish?' Again, after a short pause, she
returned his smile, cuddled closer to him and softly said, 'No.'
Stunned, but damned if he was going to leave this woman unsatisfied, Guido reached for the woman yet again. Using the last of his strength, he barely managed it, but they ended together screaming, bucking, clawing and ripping the bed sheets.
Exhausted, Guido fell onto his back, gasping.Barely able to turn his head, he looked into her
eyes, smiled proudly and asked again, 'You finish?'
Barely able to speak, the beautiful blonde whispered in his ear,
'No, I Norwegian'......

hold on guys - here comes another one........
THE MIRACLE OF TOILET PAPER
Fresh from my shower, I stand in front of the mirror complaining to my
husband that my breasts are too small. Instead of characteristically
telling me it's not so, he uncharacteristically comes up with a
suggestion: 'If you want your breasts to grow, then every day take a
piece of toilet paper and rub it between them for a few seconds'
Willing to try anything, I fetch a piece of toilet paper and stand in
front of the mirror, rubbing it between my breasts.
'How long will this take?' I asked.
'They will grow larger over a period of years,' my husband replies.
I stopped. 'Do you really think rubbing a piece of toilet paper between
my breasts every day will make my breasts larger over the years?'
Without missing a beat he says 'Worked for your arse, didn't it?'

SUBJECT - St Peter at the Pearly Gates
A man appeared before St. Peter at the Pearly Gates.
'Have you ever done anything of particular merit?'
St.Peter asked.
'Well, I can think of one thing,' the man offered.
'On a trip to the Black Hills of South Dakota, I came upon a
gang of bikers who were threatening a young woman.
I directed them to leave her alone, but they wouldn't listen.
So, I approached the largest and most heavily tattooed biker and
smacked him in the face, kicked his bike over, ripped out
his nose ring, and threw it on the ground. I yelled, 'Now,
back off, or I'll kick the shit out of all of you!'
St. Peter was impressed .. 'When did this happen?'
' Couple of minutes ago.'
i'm here all week.

excuse the grammar, i writ it all on myself........
A guy boards a transatlantic flight and as he walks down the planes aisle, he spots the most beautiful woman he has ever clapped eyes on. Not wishing to miss an opportunity he patiently waits until the seatbelt light goes out and wanders over to sit next to her in the empty seat.
"Hi there, how are you" he asks, "oh I'm fine thanks and yourself…?" she replies.
"yeah I'm good, business or pleasure..?" he asks "excuse me" she says…….."Your trip, is it business or pleasure..?"
"Well", she replies "it's actually a bit of both"." Sounds interesting, if you don’t mind me asking, what are you planning?" the guy asks…….
"I am on a trip around the world to research and dispel modern day sexual myths".
"Wow, sounds good, but what do you mean dispel sexual myths..?"
"Well, let me give you an example, I have found out that there is a common preconception that Latin/Italian men make for the best and most romantic lovers, however, I have recently been able to prove that it is actually red Indian tribesmen who in fact make the best and most romantic lovers".
"Interesting" says the guy, "any other myths you have shattered…?"
"yes", she replied "another common one is that afro-Caribbean men are the most well endowed men on the planet, but this again is not true, I have discovered that it is actually Greek men who are the most well endowed".
"Sounds like a really interesting line of work" he says, "but I didn't catch your name..?"
"Oh, my name is Julie" she responds……"and yours…..?" she asks………
"oh, pleased to meet you Julie, my name's Tonto, Tonto Pappadoppoulis".

Rob Jones, that's who. He does a lot of band posters (including the Stripes), and they were selling the tour leftovers. I got a Charlottetown 07 (A Penguin with wings, awesome) for $75 shipped, and I could easily get $300 for it on eBay. I sold a poster from one of the cancelled US shows for nearly $400 a few months back, and I didn't pay a penny for it.
If you have the Blackpool 05 poster, you can expect about $1400 for that one alone.
RJ just sold the Raconteurs set (25 posters) for $1500 on his site. 47 full sets sold out in less than a minute. Crazy stuff.

Yeah i think minigolf/tiddlywinks is likely, but i know i will never get down there for the game, as it's bound to be in London. I'll have to commit to what day i'm coming down on the Train in mid March, theres no way i can come down on say the Wednesday or Thursday in the hope of Mini Golf, because it's so frigging expensive in London.
Getting a train down right after Mini Golf is announced is no good either because by then i'll have to get standard fare which is £65 one way.
All in all if there is a game of Mini-Golf, it's highly unlikely i can attend. :(

I'll got the whole week booked off around the gigs for potential mini-golf/tiddlywinks action. I'm already going to the Manc gig and the Sat Wembley gig, might try and get tickets for the Friday gig as well.
In other news, i essentially slept from about 1 this morning until 4:00pm. Only got up to phone work to tell them i wasn't going in. not been well all week and today was the worst. :(
My floor is free for sleeping on for anyone...

I can afford 2 of the following three with what little money I've scraped together. Which ones do I go for?
1. 2 tickets for Muse at Royal Albert Hall
2. 2 Ticket for Noel Fielding (plus "guests") at Royal Albert Hall
3. Car tax

Really? Are you rushing to get rid of it? I'm not 100% sure whether i will be coming down for the Friday as well yet, so I don't want to commit to anything yet, but if you are keeping hold of it for a bit, i'll speak to you about it closer to the time.
That Muse thing looks tempting, but i really can't justify another trip down south what with this weekend, Foos and Maiden already. At least not until next payday, when i'll be weak again and will end up buying a ticket for Reading. :p Already been weak this month and bought Radiohead ticket. :D

As for the gig that depends. My mum can't drive and my dad works at sea for two weeks at a time, so it would depend if he were at home then. I'll have to ask and find out, but it does seem like a good deal, surely cheaper than a hotel and train tickets.

First I spend £100 taking a friend to Hyde Park and have to leave during the Queens set because I was ill.
Because of previous mentioned illness I wasted the £80 I'd spent on Manchester tickets for the next day.
Next comes Dingwalls and I pass on a ticket because I couldn't get one for my then-girlfriend. Who I broke up with within a few months after that.
Then comes Cardiff and Work call me in for Overtime from 3pm to 9am on the morning of the show leaving me too tired and ill to drive from London, wasting another £70 on tickets in the process.

My sleeping has been really good since early December, i've done really well. It's only the last couple of weeks where i've ended up staying until 3/4am.
I really can't sleep recently either when i try to. Some nights i've been going to sleep at like 1/2 feeling tired and not being able to fall asleep until 5/6 for no reason at all.
Yeh, some nights I go to bed at like midnight. and I'm still wide awake at 4/5am.
Other times, I actually just sit up with my best friend til 6...so we can get a maccies breakfast... it's just plain stupid on our part because by the time it gets to 6am we can't be arsed walking over. so we end up crashing out. ahah.

Well some nights i'll lay their trying to sleep for about an hour then just get sick of tossing and turning and so i'll get back up and do something. Last night i was sat here until about 6am, went upstairs to watch some Only Fools DVD's then i think i fell asleep at about 8am.

Depends what you are looking to do and what transport you have. Cumbria is gorgeous and really scenic(and fantastic for walking), but not that great if you don't have a car with you to get about.
If you are looking for a nice city to visit, i'd thoroughly recommend Edinburgh or York. They are both fantasticly beautiful cities.

Yes, it's definitely the sea - taken from roughly where that lighthouse thing is at the end of the left pier end (http://photos-a.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v159/107/60/513796344/n513796344_515168_1006.jpg)a couple of days after Christmas. trust me on this. :p

Same here. Cumbria is the only place in England that has any (only a solitary pair of them mind) and Skye has a lot of Golden Eagles and a few Sea Eagles. We'd get Eagles over the house on Skye fairly frequently. :)

No problem! Advance fairs are great, you can go places for sensible money rather than be ripped off. For example the standard fare for me for a single to London is about £70. If i can get an advance far it can be as little as £14. Massive difference.

the baby seal was awesome! We spent ages just watching him swimming around. He'd been sat on the little beach and i must have disturbed him when i climbed down onto it.
And it's called St Bees Head - most westerly part of Cumbria (http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?client=public&X=300000&Y=500000&width=700&height=400&gride=&gridn=&srec=0&coordsys=gb&db=GB&addr1=&addr2=&addr3=&pc=&advanced=&local=&localinfosel=&kw=&inmap=&table=&ovtype=&keepicon=&zm=0&scale=500000&multimap.x=318&multimap.y=106). Unless Lara is talking about a different one, I presume she is talking about the open air amphitheatre which is carved into the rocks somewhere in Colorado. It's a famous gig venue. How about something on the lines of how the scriptwriters have to successfully introduce a new character into a role that was previously successfully filled by a popular character, and in very little time? If that makes sense.

He said it might be restricted view, and when I asked how restricted it might be, he said "Well, there will be a row of people in front of you so you may have to stand at certain points". Bless the RAH people :)

Is the Saturday one GA? I am very interested!:)
It is, Charlotte! It's yours if you want it, PM me your address, and I'll arrange for seetickets to redirect it to you when they finally send them out. Then you can paypal me when it arrives. Or we can work out another way to pay me if you don't have a credit card/paypal account.:)

I wanna go there  That place looks awesome :D
How about something on the lines of how the scriptwriters have to successfully introduce a new character into a role that was previously successfully filled by a popular character, and in very little time? If that makes sense.
That episode was filmed in the library opposite where I used to work. I saw David Tennant :D
Already done that. Is there anywhere online i can watch that episode do you know?! I only have the script at the minute :(

Thanks, Lara:) Yay! Will seetickets send it out to halls of residence though? Or do I have to go for the boxoffice pickup? I have paypal, so that will work itself out:) If only I can make it work in some other language than Chinese this time:p

Ooh, I don't think they do send to halls, but I've arranged for the Friday ticket to be sent to Leanne as she's buying that one; I'm sure she won't mind if I get the Saturday one sent there too, then once it arrives she can send it on to you. I'll ask her and let you know.:)

No worries hon, you're doing me a favour taking it off my hands, so much easier than trying to flog it on eBay or scarletmist. Yay!:D
