All sorts of stuff on playlist, of all types. I don't really like having all 19GB of my itunes on shuffle, so i tend to stick about 200-300 of various types on a playlist each week and rotate it that way.

so i'm trying to compile my mix cd and want to use various songs which are on my itunes and obv. on my ipod, but how do i transfer them to a file which i can use to nero burn them - i dont want to trawl through the loft and i kinda figure itunes must store the files to a folder somewhere on my pc - any ideas.....?

Here is a short tutorial showing you how to convert iTunes protected M4P files to MP3 fast and easily using Protected Music Converter software.

i'm guessing this is just for the purchased files which come as M4P files and not the ones you upload from your own cd - i will try it tomorrow anyway - but they must be on the pc some-fuckin-where.

Ian to the rescue.

in itunes, click on edit > preferences > advanced > burning.

check that it is set to create an audio CD. then create a new playlist in itunes and drag the songs you want into it (presume you know how to do this.

insert a blank cd, it should recognise it and then click on burn disk in the bottom right corner.

If you want to use another program to do it, itunes usually stores the files themselves in my documents > my music > itunes > itunes music > then whatever the band is > then the album...

The thing that was shit about Skin&Bones was the awful cut and paste job. If you're gonna release a live show, release one live show. Don't mess around with different bits from three shows to make it look good.
It make you wonder why they did it. They should have just recorded all three shows in their entirity (which they probably did) and just released one of them as a whole. I like some of those songs from the show, but the chop shop job puts me off watching it.

I would guess its down to management wanting perfection, getting the best things from all three nights.

The only songs that aren't cut and paste jobs are Virginia Moon and Still as they were only played on one of the three nights.
