There isnt usually a barrier in underworld or dingwalls, but they put one up at underworld and they were going to at Dingwalls. And dingwalls was like 300? so with 500 they'll probably put one up.

Actually, ignore me, I think you're right. Just keep an eye on the link throughout the morning incase it does change, and there's no harm in having the foo seetickets page open in another window.

if you hover over the link it is actually only a redirect from radio 1's url to see tickets. It will only ever take you to the homepage unless they update the link later on.

concorde 2 is a niceish small venue, i've been to gigs there with and without a barrier, and it's a weird shape inside so i would probably expect the foos to have one. if 200 tickets are available in person at the box office, there can only be a couple of hundred more to buy online unless they're not actually playing there and are just shifting tickets from their box office...?

rac routeplanner says 267.79 miles from my house - just over 4 hours (if i'm lucky with traffic), just over 5 hours if i'm not.
and i would drive 500 miles, and i would drive 500 more, just to see the foo's play the pretender live for the first time.
but then the bastards will probably announce another one on monday on my doorstep whilst on their way to edinburgh.

That's not good news...I bet the same will happen when ordering via seetickets at 12...this happened with Dingwalls and was the reason I couldn't go! If this happens again it's time Seetickets heard our cries and do something about their shitty servers after all these years of dissapointing fans!

Well I kind of disagree because Ticketmaster has never failed to process my order but seetickets has. Ticketmaster allocate you your tickets and keep them just for you whilst you are filling in your order...seetickets dont do this so if you have a problem during the order you have no chance of getting tickets. Ticketmaster's servers are better with demand but seetickets crash very easily.
My point is, when I was buying my Dingwalls tickets, I easily got through to the order form...but seetickets failed me after the submit payment button, but if they had allocated tickets to me they could have said please ring us to complete your order...it makes more sense because I got through easily to seetickets when it went wrong but they just said 'no the order hasn't gone through, try again'.

and i am in total agreement with you - from my point of view, i'm not bothered with the gig costing me £100 (70 for petrol there and back plus ticket and a bit of food) coz i would pay that over again for a 500 person venue. its the fact that its gonna take me at least 5 hours to get there, then if i wanna drive back the same night i cant have a drink. the alternative is that i could get a stop over but that'll put another £50 on it and i wont get back till sat p.m.

surely radio 1 has got to video some part of this - like when they did the live lounge on tour and noel gallagher went to that guys house and played in his front room.
i'm sure stuff will turn up on the internet over the following days/weeks from the radio 1 website.

It says that you can press the red button on BBC TV to watch it, or some of it, later on.

I dunno cos the comp is for the morning, mid day or afternoon isn't it. Or does the Concorde 2 gig count as afternoon?
Morning is a live performance with Chris Moyles.
Afternoon is a live lounge performance for Jo Wiley.
Evening is the gig.
Well, Ticketmaster is obviously a much bigger company but they also have a sickening mark-up on tickets with their fees.
and i am in total agreement with you - from my point of view, i'm not bothered with the gig costing me £100 (70 for petrol there and back plus ticket and a bit of food) coz i would pay that over again for a 500 person venue. its the fact that its gonna take me at least 5 hours to get there, then if i wanna drive back the same night i cant have a drink. the alternative is that i could get a stop over but that'll put another £50 on it and i wont get back till sat p.m.

pretty soon sod's law is gonna come into play.
that being those who are desperate to go wont get tickets, those who are sitting on the fence over money/time/location etc will get tickets so its gonna cost them loadsa money/time/hassle, and those who cant go but are gonna try anyway for the hell of it will get the offer of tickets but, due to photo id restrictions, they wont be able to get them to the people who want to go.
