It got cancelled. :( The headliners had to pull out because their new guitarist didn't pick up the songs quick enough so rather than rejig the lineup (ie, put us top) the thing just got cancelled.

It was dark blond with platinum roots, I looked ridiculous. It took a whole day and the best part of £200 at Andrew Collange to sort it out. It was almost as bad as the time I tried to dye my hair red and it turned in to the same shade of pink that kids get there hair sprayed at the fair. :(

I'm having a bit of a spaz out about giving my job up. I know that I need to if I want to carry on uni but I have a nagging feeling that may be I should really look at staying at work. Its an extremely cushy, well paid job and the chances are that even with my degree, I'm not going to get a position with that type of money for quite a few years. All this has made me have a spaz out about uni as well, I love my course but I'm wondering if PR is for me and if I should have focused on doing event management which is the side of PR that I'm really interested in. I do cover it in my course (I start it this term) but it doesn't go into great detail.

Work have told me to think about it and give them my answer tomorrow. I wish that they had just accepted my resignation yesterday and this wouldn't be an issue.

Yes and no. I'm fine for the next few months but if I cant find another job by say May, I will be severely screwed.

I have an application here for the insolvency service and it would be absolutely perfect but I'm not sure if part time with them means a few hours every day or full days three days a week. The fact that I need a full day off on Monday's and Tuesday's is really going to screw me for looking for anything but bar work.

They say that due to the nature of my role it doesn't support part time hours. :rolleyes:

Fair enough, I do have to manage my own case load and its something that I do have to update every day but there are other people in there that do part time but thats only because the company have a legal obligation to allow them the working hours because they have kids. I have argued the point that if they are in the exact same role as me and it works fine, why can I not do it. They just came back with some lame excuse about the hours that I needed would not allow my manager to manage me effectively or some bullshit. The only thing that my manager could do effectively is eat a burger.

You know what just thinking about they way that they have treated me has made up my mind. Fuck them, I'm off. If you join the forum on that site and find the relevant CSI/Heroes/whatever thread, there are more download options and people always post single links of each episode... I've had a look and CSI season 8 single link eps are on there! Go go go!

*Edit* granted the eps are uploaded to Megaupload/Rapidshare etc so you still have download limits, but even so... I can live with that - at least with single links you get the whole thing!

I was watching CSI on FiveUS last night and they showed part 1 of a 2 parter and then went on to another completely random episode afterwards rather than show part 2. I'll never find out who the serial killers were now! :rolleyes:
Then you'll ever know. CSI has a habit lately of not introducing the killer into the programme at all until the last 3 minutes.

Take a pint glass, put a shot of port in it and then fill the glass with a bottle of blue wkd. It tastes like vimto and gets you bladdered. :D

They went with someone else, I was so fucking into them - we got on pretty well because we were all massive grunge/alt rock fans and musically we seemed to fit pretty well but at the time I was trying to find myself a decent amp and they couldn't (or wouldn't) wait for me because they wanted to get cracking. It's fair enough really, they were really nice guys - especially Mike, the singer - it just didn't work out because of the timing, I do wonder how amazing it would've been though, I can still remember how to play one of their songs, haha, the one on the site called "Dead Consumer" although it used to sound well better, it sounds way too over-produced now. I was pretty bummed out, they just left me hanging for weeks, didn't tell me that they'd already found a replacement until I rang them and they were like "oh, uh yeah, we already found someone else" - that fucking stung.

They're playing some concert supporting Eton Road (remember them from X Factor) and, get this, ANOTHER band that I tried out for is on the same fucking bill, Triphazard - I'm glad I didn't get that one, they were way too poppy, a right bunch of cunts too - they wanted someone to play guitar for them, not with them if you see what I mean. A hired hand rather than a band member. Fuck those cunts.

Well yeah i think liqueuer still kills me after i've drank several beers, i just don't seem to notice as much. I drank a whole bottle of Ouzo after about 8 pints once, id didn't bother me on the night but fuck me it did me in the next day.
