good free mp3 conversion software?

anyone know of any as i want to convert some foo songs like low into mp3 so i can have it on my phone so far all ive found is shit software that eithr wants you to go through a 15 min registration or converts half of the song

I just rip mine into mp3 with Windows Media Player, just change the 'Rip' settings to mp3 and move the quality slider to the left as far as it will go, jobs a goodun.

I imagine Realplayer will do the same.

Free Rip is really good for stuff like that just type free rip into google should work.

audio grabber is nice. Gives you all the track and cd info, plus better quality rip than Windows Media and Real.

You can also do it iTunes

Go to the proporties tab > advanced tab > importing

you can change it to rip as mp3 and if you hit custom you change the quality to suit your needs as high as 320 kbps. You can aslo change the sample rate if you so wish. 44.1 is cd

Then find it on itunes then ask it to 'show song file' and then you can do what you want with it
