some of his earlier work was pretty good. after that, when he started putting out an album every year or so, I kind of lost interest in the material he produced then and recentely. not sure what he'll be playing, but I'll look forward to it either way.

Totally can't wait for tomorrow night. SUPER pumped for it!! And just from how quickly this show sold out, it wouldn't surprise me if this wasn't the only stop here this year. Personally I think there should of been a 2nd Toronto show considering the demand of the biggest fans in Canada. Another show before the end of the year would be awesome. I believe the next should be the ACC. Bigger venue. They'd totally sell out the building and I think it's a great place for something loud (depending on what the other show would be).

Its 3:30am I just got back home from the show. Im fucking tired as fuck, but wanted to satte out of the 60 some odd concerts I've been to I think I enjoyed this sho the most. Even if they did not play Feb Stars it was amazing. Had alot of chills. I took some pics but don't know how good they are. Hopefully a good quality boot will show up.

I ended up sitting in row E right in the middle...what a fantastic show! I am SO happy they played Marigold and NOT Virginia Moon....I wish Dave talked a little more since he's so hilarious but that Iggy Pop story at the end made up for it :D
Crew seemed to think that we got a great show and they'd know since they've seen them all. I can't believe its over! :(
After the show Dave was nowhere to be found, except when he finally made his way to the bus. I got to talk to Chris, Pat, and Taylor. Heck, Pat was everywhere! What a fuckin nice guy. Chris was awesome too, as always. I never know what to say though and come off probably looking like a knob. Taylor was off in a corner chatting but I did get him to sign my pass. What a fun fun time!!

Great show last night - can't wait to hear the bootlegs. I have to admit my first thought when reviewing the show is 'why did we get f*cking Miracle and not February Stars?', but oh well, maybe with Dylan in November.

I thought most of the arrangements were well done, esp. Walking After You. My Hero sounded too much like an elevator/old folks version for my liking, but again these 'negatives' were well outweighed by the positives:

Dave's banter - that guy could do stand up, and would make the most kickass wedding emcee of all time

BOY, Times Like These, Everlong - 3 songs I could care less if they never played them again at a rock show were definite highlights for me.

Marigold and FOAF - just wicked to hear, even if they betrayed the fact that Dave's songwriting has gotten better exponentially over the years.

Ballsy Cowbell solo - it's tough to upstage Dave as the cut up but man that was funny!

Band was great, but what was with Chris' hair? And the keyboardist reminded me of some crazy carny hobo (had my date and I in stitches).

All in all a great time and I feel lucky to have seen them in such an intimate venue with brilliant acoustics. Can't wait for November.

That was an awesome show. I ran into Jen, Amanda, sucker4foo, foobabe, and I think that was it. Everyone was really nice. Don't worry about it Jen, it was just nice to finally say hi. I wanted to stay but my sister didn't want to stay out in the rain so we went around front.

Anyways I waited around the back for the Foos to arrive. I don't recall what time they actually arrived at, but they didn't stop to sign autographs. We managed to get a hi from Nate. I almost got a picture with Chris and I got a picture and an autograph from Pat.

Can't wait for the next show! I won't be able to make it to the Toronto show, but I am going to try to make it to London. Are you guys all going to go to Toronto?

I know people. It wasn't any big deal...just a lot of people crammed into a dressing room eating and drinking! (Don't get me wrong it was fucking awesome but nothing like in movies or anything crazy).
It was funny though when my bf and i finally left we walked out by the busses and there was a huge crowd of people waiting for the guys to come out...so i waved and said "all this...for me?" It was funny. To me, at least lol.

Yep, take a look at my sig, I was at the Apollo Victoria. It was amazing. Wish they'd played Marigold though. Someone in the audience shouted it out for them to play when Dave was talking about an old song he was about to play (Friend of a Friend) and he said 'no actually this song is much older than Marigold'. I like to think that guy shouting for Dave to play Marigold was the incentive for Dave and the band to include it on the setlist of future shows.

Everything from the blinking venue to the openers to their set was just bang on! Goes without saying that last summer's rock side and this acoustic one are by far the best 2 shows I've ever seen. I've been other concerts though...so I'm not totally wet behind the ears hehe.

This show is what the Foo Fighters are all about in my opinion. Over the last few years I've become frustrated with their greatest hits setlists and the same "jams" all the time. This show was amazing they sounded awesome with the extra musicians and the banter and joking between songs was hilarious. Highlights for me were Marigold, Big Me (Petra sounds great) and I really enjoyed Another Round as well. The only disappointment for me (and it is just a small one) is that they didn't play February Stars. Oh well, this was the best Foo show I have ever been to.

My work (Moxies) Sponsor's the London Knights, and we have a box, so hopefully we can get into the box for nothing. Id love to get backstage and see Dave. You will need to convert it to mp3.

Just search 'flac to mp3' in google.

i just have to say that was a fantastic show. The version of floaty was insane petra can really sing. The highlight for me tho was skin and bones it gave me chills. I saw them last year at molson amp and i have to say that was great but the acoustic show was better dave can really play. I saw the Foos in Toronto on Aug 23rd....Awsome show.....Afterwards I went to wait outside for the guys to sign my poster.....Nate signed, Pat signed(yes Pat former Foo) and Taylor signed......Chris was a dick and Dave, my hero said he had no time. NO TIME????? This is his job, I payed for the bus he ran onto, I payed for the food he eats and crap like that I'm the one who buys 3 copys of each record when they get scratched..... I've never once downloaded a Foo record and Dave can't take not even 3 minutes to scribble his name on a $30 poster(his pocket $$)..... He sat on the bus for 20mins before it left...... I don't get it, out of all the Foos Dave has always said he has time for his fans......:confused:

You paid to see the Foo Fighters perform an acoustic concert...that doesn't mean he has to be at your beck and call. Haven't you heard "I'll Stick Around"? I believe its in that song that he states "I don't owe you anything". LOL sorry. I had to stick that in there...but really, Chris is one of the nicest guys in music, maybe he just wasn't in the mood to sign stuff for half an hour? Meeting the guys is a bonus, not a right. Were you by any chance the guy who was arguing with the security guard (the security guard was sticking up for Dave) after Dave walked by?

it's just a matter of luck, disillusioned. some people meet only 2, some meet all of them, some don't get to meet them at all, much less sign something. and yes, Chris is one of the nicest guys too, but people can always have their moments when they aren't the friendliest. everyone can be like that from time to time.

first off...that was the best show i've ever been to.... sooo good. maybe i'm just getting old or something but i kinda liked the fact that everyone was sitting and was quiet. it allowed you to really listen to the music and enjoy everything without having to worry about some guy jumping on your neck in a mosh pit and then having to deal with screaming girls screaming right in your ears.

secondly, I was by the busses too after the show. Taylor took a picture with me. he's wicked. I was a little bummed that Dave didn't really mingle with the fans but he said he had to go take care of his baby daughter in the bus so i understand. He's still my hero. and the fact that he's a family man makes him even more respectable in my books

OK, maybe my post was a little harsh, but as a musician I do belive that is part of the job....Make the record, play the show, and meet the people who make it all possable(not the leaches backstage who just want to drop names).....I for one was not the one yelling obcenities....I got the crowd to stop chanting "Dave" because of the baby......I know how I'd feel if my 8 month old woke up at 2 in the morning crying on a bus(I don't have a baby but I sympathize)....I guess the bitterness took hold of me(bad Foo fan:( ).....I'll still pay to see them open for Dyaln and Dave is still my hero....And as for following them around at the hotle, that's sad, that's where they get to relax. Unfortunately we all missed on the the presale to the Dylan show. You had to buy his album off of Itunes before to day to get a presale cold for the show. I have confidence though that I will get tickets to this show.

The Dylan site is still saying 'Pre-Sale dates coming soon'. I think they're gonna have a public presale on top of the iTunes presale. Because the shows aren't even listed on ticketmaster and I doubt they would exclude that old system. This IS the ACC afterall, there will be tons of room.

Look at it this way. you're seeing a living legend, and as a bonus, you get to see your fav band open up for him. that's like 50$ each. Totally worth the dough.

They also had in the 50$ range and in the 40$ range.

I'm sure that floor tickets are still available, this was a pre-sale, so only certain blocks were released. Try the bobdylan.com presale, they'll totally have some good seats saved for that one, + the regular sale.

The ACC is huge. like 19,800 seats or something ridiculous like that.

Arrow Hall was TOO packed and some slimey dude kept crowd surfing (which is fine) but when he was coming back around to do it again, somehow he kept finding exactly where I was standing (way off to the side near the middle) and rubbing up against me. I almost threw UP. SRSLY. (lol).
I thought the Acoustic show was fantastic but I did enjoy myself at the Amphitheatre last year more.

There are still some available, but I don't know whether to pay the $75 for the good seats or just go with the cheap ones for $55. Hmmm. The radio said that the Foo Fighters are apparently playing the whole show with Bob Dylan as his back up band. I don't know wiether or not to believe this but in that case 85 bucks is totally worth it! I got the cheaper tickets, Upper Bowl section 311 Row B seats 9-13. at least im at the FRONT of the upper level, hehe. Its going to be great no matter what. Foo Fighters for a 2nd time this year as well as Bob Dylan! like common! I bought my dad a ticket as well, he loves both the Foo and Bob. He's quite excited. It's going to be a blast.

the only reason I don't believe he's got a backup band, is because he has one date with no support: Denver. So unless, that's a special just him on a guitar show, it would seem pointless to have a band for only that one date, then get 4 others bands to back him up in other cities. Means 4 seperate bands have to be taught his songs every couple of weeks. Don't know how fesible that is.

Yeah I highly doubt that The Foos would back Dylan. Bob has a new record out that I'm sure we'll hear a lot of. So he'd be working with a band on the new stuff. Bands backing bands doesn't happen often.....off the top of my head the only one I can think of is when the Flaming Lips backed Beck on a tour. Which by the way I would have killed to see.
