Great idea - then no one would have it. I don't see what the big deal it is to google torrent and flac and read for all of 5 seconds to figure out what to do. Uncapped was the dude who snuck his gear into the show, captured a great gig and offered it to all on this board in under a day for fuck all, save for asking that it doesn't get distributed as mp3. That doesn't mean YOU can't convert it, just not to post as mp3. I for one would trade getting the show by those rules than not to have it at all.

What gets me is the implied laziness of everyone who wants the show, but all they are prepared to do for it is say 'mp3 yousendit please'.

There are still some of us that do CD trades - you get higher quality on CDs and then you can rip it to your iPod. That would mean a trip to the post office - maybe too much work....

man i loved that concert i was sitting in section 202 my seat was at the front left corner of ware the lighting board and such was... there was what looked to be a film camera in that area... if the futage makes it onto a DVD or anything and during up in arms you just see a lighter come into frame that was me, i didn't notice i had moved over infront of the camera. lol so any ruined futage is my fault

I used to have the converters and shit on my computer but lost it all when i got a virus. BEsides the point though...i cant stop listening to it...it sounds like its off the soundboard...Do you tape many shows in the toronto area??

Yes I am the GUY who taped teh show. Thanks for the comments man. If you want the flac its around still. I tape lots of shows in toronto. I'm taping U2 next month, i've taped mmany metal shows, in the last 18 months. TAped foo fighters 7/7/03, and 7/7/97. skipped a few tapings in between . lol. i think i have all the shows i've seen though so thats cool.

I spent 2hrs with 3 friends redialing and redialing until we got through...same with QOTSA....you just have to be persistant! It was so important to me to get in because in 1997 Foo did their first I&I and I was there, outside waiting and they let in my two friends and NOT me, even though I said I was driving them home...and they were dudes and I was like a young girl, they were just going to let me sit outside alone! So i went home and watched on tv...i needed to get IN this time!

Anyways when I found out that Dave formed band called the Foo Fighters I had to check them out. I remembered my dad had the OBO cd, so I asked him if I could listen to it and he said yes. I immediately loved them. I eventually found out that they had released many other albums, (I thought OBO might be their first cd). I went out and bought the old cds and listened to them all, and loved them even more than OBO.

Anyways when I found out that Dave formed band called the Foo Fighters I had to check them out. I remembered my dad had the OBO cd, so I asked him if I could listen to it and he said yes. I immediately loved them. I eventually found out that they had released many other albums, (I thought OBO might be their first cd). I went out and bought the old cds and listened to them all, and loved them even more than OBO.

London and Hamilton... I tried for Kitchener but ticketmaster was so fucked up and wouldn't show any seat information (i.e., section, row, etc.)... so I didn't get tickets.

it might be... i got dsl and it took me like 20 min to download one at 160kbps so at 56kbps it might take like an hour if it is at the maximum and youre not doing anything else... theyre worth downloading though so it'll be worth the wait

As for Audioslave, I live near London so I may go to the show at the John Labatt Centre. I'm not sure if I should go since I don't own any Audioslave cds. Don't get me wrong, I love their songs I hear on the radio. I've just never bought a cd. By the way how much were the tickets?

If you don't have either of there CD's I would 100% recommend getting them.....they are both amazing and I would definitely go to the concert if I were you because they are a great live band, they are the type of band that you know you are really watching something special .....if that made sense.

Im going to the Ottawa show and maybe the Montreal show...not 100% sure if my buddies are trekking it. Im really hyped. PJ on Thursday and Friday and the Stills on Saturday.

I dont believe it has been one month. I remember walking from Molson Park to the Air Canada Center for a ride to my buddies sister's place for the night. It was a long and crazy walk (we walked on the Don Valley Parkway....going against traffic) but it didnt seem that long cause me and my buddy were still hyped from the concert.

I went with 3 other buddies...the two other guys went out and said they overheard rumours that some of the Foos had visited some local beverage establishments.....It would have been sick to see em at a bar. And the next day when we were leaving we drove by the Metropolis hotel? (The one where the celebs stay)...and we seen 2 giant tour buses....we were thinking about hanging around to see if it was the Foos bus but we were really short on time. That was probably that closest Ive ever been to maybe meeting the Foos hahahaha. OH one month anniversay hurrah.!!!!!!!!

This is kinda off topic, but I was wondering something. I was just on the Chapters site and I saw that the Kurt Cobain hardcover journals is only $9.99. This is a really good price, but I don't know if I should get it or not. Have any of you read it? Or do you think I should read it? I am not sure if I should because it just isn't really right. I mean they are his personal journals, but I think they would be interesting to read. Any thoughts would be appreciated. :)

Thanks for the advice, I guess. Just to let you know I'VE decided not to read them. I went to chapters and I found the journals. I opened it up and the first line said something like "don't read this when I am gone". That was enough for me to make my decision. I am not reading them.

I just have a feeling Toronto is going to be their best show. Montreal and Ottawa were both spectacular...wouldnt surprise me if Bono or Jack Johnson came on stage for a song or two.

I gave the Edge a copy of their EP, and a press-like package that had reviews, band bios, member bios, pictures, etc.
I wouldn't even bother wasting time with the Edge, they obviously don't know good music these days and their programming has gone to SHIT in the past few years.

I did a similar thing with this local radio station that I love (it's a non-commercial radio station so it's very cool and you can listen to it online) and they actually played "Here Comes Hollow" off the EP. I was going to give them the album when it came stateside, but they already have it (or some singles) and they played "She's Giving In."

The music director picks from the music they recieve and then decide what fits the station and what goes to air. The odd time a cd that it given by someone out there will get to air. but this does not normally happen. But new music does have it's place on air. Many stations do have a new music show that airs stuff that normally doesn't get into rotation. Jackson would more or less fit into those shows. Its very hard for a band to get radio play. I understand all that, but the station prides itself on playing "new rock" and blah blah blah and its not like I was giving them a cd of MY band, the lead man in this band is a guitarist for a big band that the radio station already plays...they should have just told me to not waste my time, since I was in contact with the music director and he told me to bring in some info on them.

You'll never tell someone that you wouldn't want them to bring in a CD. Most people in radio are there because they are into music. So the inner music geek in them will always want to hear new music. Also that song might end up on one of the new music shows. I'm not sure , but Edge might have played Jackson on a new music show. As for requests.....It's a nice thought. But most likely won't happen. I'm like you guys and would love to hear Jackson United on the Radio.......but might be a while. Oh as for yeah he plays in the Foo's.....but that doesn't guarentee air play for a side project. Look at Eagles Of Death Metal. I'd say Josh Homme is pretty huge himself. But those songs almost never got played on air....
