Is Sloan on this bill too or not? I saw Constantines advertised and Sloan show's on Pollstar...confusion.

In other news, lot's of good tickets at eBay. Knock me over with a feather.

I don't think that anyone knows whether or not Sloan is going to be opening. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Nah you're not the only one. Then again, I've never been to a Foo show before (this one will be my first!). I've met Chris and that was at a Jackson (pre-JU days) show; he was awesome. I wanted to meet Nate after a Fire Theft show but he ran into the bus, ignoring the three people waiting in 30-degree weather, lol.

^It was actually a plastic pass. And from what I heard most people who stood behind the 'Front of the Line' people got to meet the Foos. One of the HMV reps said they where going to get everyone in (including none pass people). So chances are you would have made it.

No, I didn't have a wristband.A woman we had met actually gave me a wristband to go and watch them at 102.1!!While my mom waited in line at HMV to meet them..No, we didn't have the special pass thing to be the first 50 people in line.We just waited at the side of hmv with a whole wack of people.But we got there early and were probably 30th in line.And about an hour and a half later we got in.So you probably would've gotten in.But it was worth the wait.I'm not from T.O. either.But it was all still worth it:)

That's pretty much the million dollar question for those of us who don't know! I remember reading on the site a couple of years ago about getting back stage - if you don't know then you're pretty much a nobody or some other stuff like that, so stop asking! I was pretty bummed out when I read that.

i'm by no means an expert, it took me years to meet them!

look for people with laminate passes around their neck, people lugging gear...
I don't think where you're sitting really means anything because before and after the show are really your best chances of meeting anyone.
There used to be a part on this board that had like surveys of all the roadies and the band and it had everyone's picture up, so thats how I recognized people.
I guess just don't be a jackass, and (this is more for smaller shows) but after the show I just go out back and sometimes band members come out and sign stuff briefly. The amphitheatre is tough though, since its massive.

Not only is the amphitheatre massive, the tour busses get parked in a "special" area that you can only access with proper security clearance... usually the best way to meet a band is find out where the bus is parked and wait before or after the show... but at this venue, that is pretty damn hard to do without a pass of some kind! hopefully we can find a way...oh yes, I will find a way.

i know where it is at the Amphitheatre, but like I said, you need a pass or security clearance to get INTO it... it's blocked off by fences etc. so people like US can't just stroll up and get into it....

let's look at it this way. If you are a true foo fan, you will be at that show. Regardless if tickets are sold out for the presales, or in general, you will find a way.

I for example did not score Lee's tickets through the edge, but I tried and tried and finally found a kind soul who sold me (insert top dolla' here) a spot on the guest list.

I've never been to the Amphitheatre so I can't help you with most questions. But I can say that the dvd was filmed at Arrow Hall. I was there...It was awesome...And I'd do it again. haha

I would never give the eBay sellers the satisfaction. Why buy tickets only to sell them on eBay to poor fans who weren't fortunate enough to get a pair?
I'd like to see none of those tickets get sold and the sellers get stuck with them and lose money.
It just happened to a friend of mine and he learned a big lesson...spent 1000$ on 16 tickets for the Weezer show that just passed...sold NONE of them on eBay and then had to sell them severely discounted to make back some of the money. He learned though.

I totally agree with you jenny. I think that if you are going to sell your tickets on eBay that you should only get what you paid for them. It's not fair to rip off the fans. That's just my opinion though.

I had an extra ticket for the Lee's show, and I know I could've sold it for over 100$...there you go, easy money...but I didn't want to do that, I found someone that I kinda knew, and he couldn't get in, and I gave it to him. Seeing how happy that made him was enough. I would have felt so guilty getting money for a ticket that I had gotten for free...people sometimes underestimate the power of feeling good!

jennyroo, you are so right. that warm fuzzy feeling is awesome. i work at a radio station in roswell and i get to give tickets away alot. (20 to the foo show here) :D sometimes the winners don't pick them up (that pisses me off) so i'll take them to the show and give them to people looking to buy tickets. sometimes i could've made a fortune, but money isn't everything. i work at a radio station, so i should know. i have even given away extra meet-n-greet passes at shows. i felt like santa claus. it should be illegal to sell tickets for more than what you paid for them. so many real fans get screwed by ebay. by high prices and by fake tickets. and there is NO accountability. thanx for letting me vent. :D

not a fake! I bought one of these at the Lee's show... was disappointed now Buffalo on the back, but it's a foo shirt to add to my collection so I don't care (since seeing them back in '95 i think i have about 10 foo shirts...)

Hoodies are usually in the 60-90 dollar range at most concerts I've been too... I've only bought two but they were worth it... my NIN hoodie kicks serious ass.

Ya, when it gets shipped to Canada it has to go through customs doesn't it? That adds a few extra days for shipping, plus we have to pay duty and our 15% tax.

Second, this is going to be a good show to pop your cherry too. Foo Incorporated put on a good show and it'll keep you talking for days. This will be my fifth time seeing them and I think I'm more excited this time around than any of the others and I'm not sure why...

Some people on here used to do the board meet up name tag thing..maybe we can do something similar, but with something less obvious? like with a foo sticker or button or something not as gay as "Hello, my name is Jennyroo" stuck on my chest. Just to show how obsessed I can be with a single band I'm going to see the white stripes at the following places: Both Detroit shows(have to go to the hometown shows), the toronto show, two of the shows in chicago and one of the boston shows. I'm not specifically talking about you...so don't take this the wrong way, but I don't think I would ever get booze for a minor that I didn't know. Even one I did, what if something awful happened to them, I would feel so guilty...not only that, but drunken underaged teens are like the LAST people I want to be hanging out with at a concert.

This stems from a concert I was at, where this kid was drinking from a flask..and then in the middle of the concert puked almost ON me. If he had, I would have punched him so he's lucky.

It isn't too hard to get a camera in. I got one in for the Oasis concert. I duct taped a disposable to the inside of my boxer shorts. Oddly, there was no need. No one even frisked me. Don't get me wrong, the security frisked a lot of people, but duct taping it should work just fine.
Jenny is right, bring a disposable. Some people get digital cameras in, but I wouldn't take the chance. ;)

If you want a T-Shirt ($30-40), Food ($10-15) and if you have to park at Ontario Place ($20) I'd say you should bring about $75. My neighbour just went to a good charlotte concert(blah!) at the Amp, and she said that it would be possible to sneak down because security wasn't that bad, and another person just went to see iron maiden, and she said it would be possible to sneak down to the 200's at least.I'm not worried about floors.It'd be awesome to be in "that."..Definitley.But not worried about it.
Is security bad that they won't let you go to a different section, or do some of them not care?Or do they become bigger asses with different bands?
Just wondering.
And do people at Foo shows usually sit down in their seats?
Would people get mad if I get out of my seat?I don't want to be sitting, but I don't want to piss people off around me..lol

speaking as an usher at the Amphitheatre, you'll prolly have to deal with guys like me when trying to sneak into sections...Good Charlotte wasn't bad because only up to the 300's were sold and there weren't very many people in the 400's...so crowd control was easy that night and not very many people tried to sneak in...

Maiden was basically people bullying and forcing their way through the gates or jumping over seats to get into the lower sections...

Since the Foos show is nearly sold out, I would imagine a situation similar to Maiden than Good Charlotte...

Without shame I'd like to add that my band Strawman will be playing Lee's Palace this Thursday, August 11 - 8:45pm is our start time. Not sure - depends on the floor people I guess. I'd imagine you'll be looking to hold a nice spot when you get one. I would suggest a beer concession, cause that's where I'll be when the music isn't on. Otherwise somewhere inside Ontario Place but outside the amphitheatre itself. Who's been there recently and can suggest a good restaurant, pub, landmark, etc?

it really depends....I don't know how long the line will be to get in the venue, but even if you are at the front, you have to go into Ontario Place and then into the Amphitheatre and then into the actual concert area, and then once you are on the floor you'll have to stay there to keep your spot...
Honestly I don't feel like getting pushed and shoved by kids so I don't know how close you want to be....

Dude nice on the U2 tickets. They were nearly impossible to get, at least for me. Damn Ticket Bastards! I had two GAs for one of the Canada dates and when I went through the order "checkout" it gave me a server error. That was after being in the queue forever to find tickets. So fine, another 15 minutes in the queue, then I find two more GAs for a different date and I go to checkout and a damned server error. I was so pissed off. Four dates in Toronto and they sold out in no time (not surprising). Ahhh well, I did manage to score tickets for the Buffalo show.

Out of the 5 canadian shows 4 of them have sloan and the constantines opening...toronto only has the constantines. The show opens at 6:30 so thats 4.5 hours until curfew. ONly 2 bands....

Im guessing the foo's are going to do an acoustic set before their electric set...i would think they are eventually going to have to play some of the acoustic material they have...since they just released an entire acoustic cd..
