in practically every thread in each forum, the views are one more than the amount of posts. I find it hard to believe that everyone who views a thread posts in it...i certainly don't. Is this correct? I'm sure many people lurk, but this isn't evident in the numbers?!

In the 100% foo free section patricularily, i've noticed that the number of views in a thread is one more than the number of replies. This couldn't be right.
This is true for the "general foo discussion" forum aswell, with the exception of a few threads.
I've been wondering why it's not working also.

something fishy is going on with vBulletin running it's scheudled tasks. it looks like the thread view by default works the same as the post count - if someone makes a post, the post count AND view count goes up by one. but once every hour, the thread count is recalculated (based on something like the # of hits a thread has gotten). it seems like vBulletin just wasn't running that script. i'll be keeping an eye on it and trying to figure out why vBulletin isn't doing what it's supposed to...

I understand that its main purpose is obviously to make people feel bad when they see that their thread's replies/views ratio is high. But other than that, it seems pretty useless. So, can anyone explain to me what the point of this feature is?
