New Foo gig in L.A. next Tuesday!! (Sept. 18)

Did you guys see the announcement on the main page? The Foos are playing a special gig for a "Nissan Live Sets" internet broadcast in West L.A. next Tuesday.

Coolest thing is, email the address given, and the first 200 emails get in free with a friend!!!

Main question is, how long has this been up on the main page? I noticed it at noon (california time) today, immediately sent an email, and then checked the boards for anything talking about this. I found nothing, so I hope it was just barely posted, making my chances to get in better.

Anybody know when this went up on the main page?

I really hope so. I didn't get tickets for the KROQ thing the next saturday because it's a huge arena, tickets are expensive, and I don't want to see the Foos play a shortened set so Kid Rock and Cypress Hill can play the same event....

Yeah, I don't get that 200 emails thing. The way it's written, it implies that they'll be doing in a lottery style, but it does specifically state that the first 200 get tickets. Odd.

wtf, I just got the foo fighters newsletter 1 hour ago, and I just e-mailed my ticket request. I would do anything to go, hopefully I get in! Has anyone else got tickets?

I sent in my message this morning around 12:30 PST. Unfortunately being the dumb shit that I am I didn't include my location. I got an email from them saying that my request was being processed. I know it said not to send multiple messages, but I couldn't sleep knowing that I forgot to include my location, so I sent another message with all the required info. I hope they don't hold the 2 messages against me. I'm so pissed at myself for blowing it!!!! *&#@%$! Oh, well, at least I'll still see them on Saturday but passing up a chance to see them in such an intimate setting is pissing me off!!

i emailed yesterday and almost like less than ten minutes i got a reply saying i was in, so i called my buddy to see if he would go, and i emailed back with the info they asked for and apparently i am confirmed to go:)

I have a standard signature block in my emails that states my full name and address. Apparently, no one thought to read it. In retrospect, I should have put the info they wanted in big bold letters.

The reply email said this:
"Your email has been received and is currently being processed. Please note, if you did not include your NAME, your LOCATION, and how much you are a fan of Foo Fighters you will not be considered. If you are a winner you will be contacted shortly.

but the original statement was this:

It says nothing about how you should state how much you love the Foo Fighters. For God's sake, I would see Foo again before going to Zep reunion.

Oh well, these things happen. I will go over the top in a response the next time. Normally I would be pretty upset, but the band is so cool and I know there will be more "special" shows in the future. It is so damn cool knowing that.

Congratulations everyone that is getting tickets. Have a great time and be sure to let us know how it was. You will always remember it, I am sure.
