View Full Version : ATL tix go on sale Friday - when is presale?

They just announced this Atlanta Tabernacle show yesterday for October 4, and TicketMaster lists the tickets as going on sale this Friday morning. So how are they going to deliver on their promise to the fans who bought the album early on ITunes? Atlanta was included on that list. Has anyone else heard the plan? There should be an ITunes pre-sale TOMORROW or I am going to be really pissed off.

Seems like these iTunes presales are for bigger arena-type shows that shouldn't be hard to get tix to based on other iTunes presales I've come across. The Foos iTunes sale ends Sept 24 so probably won't apply to these smaller shows.

Then they lied. The band's presale advertisement clearly says "Atlanta, GA" as one of the cities, and never says that pre-sales only applied to larger venues. Also, if anything, presales are more important for fans at smaller venues.

They lied. If there is no presale I am demanding my money back from ITunes and buying the album the real way.

I don't think they lied. They may play some arena in Atlanta next year :D

If there is no presale then they clearly did lie.

Presale will happen after September 24 for another Atlanta, GA show. So the Itunes presale is for the arena tour scheduled for early next year.

LOL, what a joke. And that's not what the pre-sale advertisement for ITunes said. If you had bought the album and were going to the Atlanta show, you'd be singing a much different tune.

Since the Tabernacle is a little, intimate venue, does anyone know if this show will be an acoustic show or a big-bad-and-loud show?

Oh, I don't think this is a lie because the album pre-order included pre-sale tickets for the album tour... this to me is not part of the official new album tour.

I cannot believe some of the excuses I am reading here!

Did you read the fine print? Nothing is really guaranteed except "receive a unique password to purchase Foo Fighters' concert tickets on Ticketmaster.com before the general public!"

Foo Fighters are expected to play the following cities:

*Participating cities and presale start dates and times are subject to change.

Looks like Silversun Pickups are opening for the Foo according to Livenation

Presale is through radio I believe. 99X in Atlanta would do the presale.

I would love to see Foo at the House of Blues in New Orleans. I was there last year for the Saints and Falcons Monday Night Football game when U2 and Green Day performed together. Plus I dunno if Harrahs Casino is close by to House of Blues.:D

BigMe, did you read the album pre-order page on iTunes? It says that you will not get your password for ticket pre-sales until after September 25th.

If you want to wait for your pre-sale password on the 25th for a show that will sell out this Friday, then go ahead...

The "promise" was for a password after the album was released on the 25th. Go back and read it.

No, it absolutely does not say that. It says offer ends on September 24. It never says if there was a date announced before then you wouldn't get what you paid for.

Now that they've announced a presale for tomorrow morning, I'm expecting an e-mail tonight.

I just called 96.1, a local rock station, and they said they think the pre-sale is being done for ITunes purchasers. We shall see...

If anyone gets the e-mail with the password, PLEASE let me know!

They just announced the password for Atlanta on 99x. Such a joke that the band's management did not honor the ITunes presale.

Actually it does say that. Open your iTunes program and go to the pre-order page for Echoes.

I bet they do full rock show. The tabernacle is NOT that small. I saw pete yorn/crowded house there tonight, and i'm seeing QOTSA there later this month, and saw foo there before too.
I'm very excited for the atlanta show. VERY. I love the tabernacle. The sound is AMAZING!

Dude, your beef is with iTunes, not foofighters.com. Bitch to THEM to see if you get something from them.

Whining here isn't gonna get you shit. Are you a member of our mailing list?

I got an email from Jenners at 99x who said the show is full-on electric. Should be a great show! Yes, I love the Tabernacle. I do consider it tiny compared to the Gwinnett Arena where they last played.

Sadly, it's going to be tough to get tickets, especially since the ITunes presale never happened. I'm sweating bullets about getting them.

Presale tickets went on sale for the ATL show about ten minutes ago through ticketmaster if you have the passcode given out by radio station 99x in ATL.

I just bought a pair for The Tabernacle show which I hope to trade for HOB tickets in NOLA on 10/2.

ive been trying since 10am

There were no tickets available that matched your request

There are several things you can try:
Change the quantity of tickets you are requesting.
If you selected a specific seat section, try switching to "Best Available".
If you are unable to find tickets, be sure to check back often. As the date of the event nears, often times a limited number of tickets may be released.
If you entered a promotional code, check that the code is valid for the ticket price and criteria you selected.

Apparently there are a lot of live Foo starved fans out there because the ATL presales tickets sold out in about fifteen minutes.

I bought a ticket just in case I get a crazy itch to go. Its freaking expensive for a cab from ATL Int'l Airport. Hotel will be nice and cheap in back of the venue.:)

I got to GA tickets. I'm sure they should have more tomorrow. I actually want 2nd balcony (row A) seats since I'll be driving over an hour way and won't get there until after work and right before the show.

If I get the balcony section I want, I may be willing to let loose my pair of GA tickets.

What I hate most are Ticketbaster's fees. Two tickets with all of the gouge fees was $99.20. Aaaaaaauuugggghhhhh!

I got in from class an hour late and it's 11:08 and had no problem getting my tix. My guess is with a lot of people scurrying to get theirs at once it backed it up, maybe? Try now if you can to those who didn't have any luck getting any.
Or maybe because i'm using a Mac :D

You have to try more than once people. Come on there are plenty of tickets. Am I shocked? Very Very much. Easiest tickets I ever got at the Tabernacle

Umm - this show is all general admission. How are people thinking they got reserved seating? If you want Row A seats, you had better get there about 5:30 to line up or you will be in the third balcony. I go to the Tabernacle about 6-7 a year for shows, so I think I'd know.

Take MARTA- there is a station at the airport, and a stop right near the tabernacle (either the peachtree center station, which is a little walk, or right to phillips arena, which is across the street). Atlanta traffic can be atrocious, so its a safe bet to take marta.

I got 2 in the presale yesterday, but I needed one more so I tried to get in on the sale today. But it looks like it sold out in seconds!

blah blah.... Shafted again.

Presale was sold out, and the general onsale was soldout at 10:00 am. I'm going to keep on trying periodically throughout the day hoping to maybe get lucky... If no luck, I guess it'll be time to support the scalpers outside the venue.

yeah, this is total crap. why I even got on the mailing list is beyond me. tried the pre-sale, not luck. tried general sale today, no luck again. i just wonder how someone can be selling 38 tickets on a "scalper" site yesterday if you could only buy 2 at a time. that smacks of some kind of hack to me.

some people are saying there will be an "arena" show. bleh! the tabernacle is all general admission. that's what a rock show is about. it usually makes it hard for these fricken scalpers to make anything as there is no "good" seats. what, wait for the phillips arena show just to get nose bleed for $100 a pop? no thanks. never had this problem with seeing ANY other show at the tabernacle. makes me wish the FF's were gonna' be back at good ol' music mid-town.

I think there isn't anything crappy in the tabernacle- the sound is great everywhere - there are some areas of the upperbalcony that is kinda far out, but i think its not bad at all
